At the 14th International Congress on Civil Engineering, the “Sharif Elites” session was held with the participation of several graduates of Sharif University of Technology who are now active in the country’s construction industry.
Participants discussed their professional growth journeys and the challenges of working in Iran’s dynamic economic environment.
Topics such as realism in the path to success, cultivating perseverance among younger generations, the importance of hope and soft skills, and the role of quality in organizational sustainability were explored.
The discussion also emphasized the stronger connection between academia and industry and the importance of project-based learning (PBL) as a key approach to developing the engineers of the future.
The event served as an opportunity for reflection, exchange of ideas, and revisiting the professional paths of Iranian engineers—reinforcing motivation for growth and long-term impact within the industry.
